Welcome to Ascent Psychiatry
Private Mental Health Care in the Community
So, What Exactly is Ascent Psychiatry and what does it offer?
Ascent Psychiatry is a boutique private mental health clinic located in Robina on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. At Ascent Psychiatry, we provide personalised, advanced mental health care – for the people of the Gold Coast, Queensland.
Our focus is to offer bespoke treatment for individuals with Adult Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Level 1, or both. We understand that many adults will not have been diagnosed previously. No need to worry. Diagnosing adults who are neurodivergent is our area of expertise, and we’ve made a lifelong commitment to making accurate diagnoses and offering life-changing treatment.
We also provide exemplary mental health care for individuals with Depression, Social and Generalised Anxiety Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Many of our patients have more than one mental health condition, and we have the knowledge and resources to provide care for individuals in this situation.
We also welcome the involvement of family members, friends or carers of our patients – if this is in keeping with our patient’s wishes. Our psychiatrists can then give education, reassurance and support to the important people in our patient’s lives. We’re here to make the complex and challenging area of mental health easier to understand and to offer the best possible care. There will be no stigma or judgement from our side. Our only job is to help you and those closest to you.
We believe that tailoring all treatments to your needs and providing support and guidance – will enhance many areas of your life.
Ascent Psychiatry offers face-to-face, person-centred mental health care.
Of course, what good would our psychiatrists’ years of training and expertise be – without the ideal setting to provide treatment? We are pleased to say, Ascent Psychiatry has a tranquil atmosphere and our therapy rooms are comfortable and private – offering views of the Gold Coast skyline and Hinterland.
Our key services include advanced medication management, integrative psychotherapy (talking therapy) and emotion-focused therapy. Ascent Psychiatry’s dedicated psychiatrists, and specialist mental health secretary strive to provide the best possible service to our patients and their families and carers.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to our knowledgeable and friendly Specialist Mental Health Secretary, Ngaio. Ngaio has a wealth of experience, having worked in hospitals and early intervention community mental health in New Zealand.
Ngaio will give you further information on each of our services – and assist you in booking your first mental health consultation. You will need to see your GP first and have a referral made to one of our Specialist Psychiatrists, Dr Philip Muller or Dr Lee Williams.
Please contact Ascent Psychiatry on (07) 5591 7034 if you already have a referral from your GP. If you have seen your GP and they are writing a referral shortly – get ahead and call our clinic now. There’s no need to wait.
You will also be pleased to know that Ngaio has extensive experience providing patient coordination and assisting with care provision. Furthermore, Ngaio has undertaken additional training and education in mental health, which we believe is essential given the nature of a community mental health clinic and the unique needs of our patients.
Our Specialist Mental Health Team, Psychiatrists Dr Lee Williams and Dr Muller, and Specialist MH Secretary Ngaio look forward to meeting you.
